Program
Meeting: at the entrance to the Istvántelki Main Workshop (1045 Budapest, Elem utca 5-7.; GPS: 47.551682, 19.106619) between 9:45 and 10:00.
The bygone world of steam locomotives comes to life in the Istvántelki Steam Workshop. And with the interpretation of people who have dedicated their entire lives to bringing these iron horses to life, maintaining them, and restoring them. Time has stopped in the steam workshop, but life has not. It’s good that way. It’s worth a visit.
During the factory tour, guests can gain insight into the work in the steam workshop, view the vehicles stored in the workshop hall, and try out the push bench that allows trains to be moved in the hall.
Important: the visit does not include the ruined hall building known from photos spread on the Internet, which is forbidden to enter and is life-threatening!
The duration of the program is approx. 2.5 hours. We provide an audio guide for the tour. Participation is only possible after prior registration and ticket purchase. More information under the Participation fees tab.

* Child tickets are available between the ages of 10 and 14. The program is not open to anyone under the age of 10. Anyone under the age of 14 can only participate in the program under the supervision of an adult.
Participation in the program requires the presentation of a valid photo ID, as well as the completion of a declaration of acceptance regarding the rules of stay and traffic in the factory area and submission upon entry.
Participation in the program is possible in accordance with current health regulations.
The program will start if at least 25 people apply. Application deadline is eight days before the program at the latest. Maximum number of people: 40 people.
