Dining car WR 4253 of the pre-war Compagnie International Wagon-Lits was subject of a full reconstruction after WW2. The Dunakeszi Workshop of MÁV built a new restaurant car No. 252 on the frame of that coach at the end of the 1940s. The new car represented a unique type up today. The dining car was in service with express trains before transferred to the Government Stock. The car was withdrawn from service at the end of the 1970s.
